SYSTEMIC COMMUNICATION

Language is more than just speaking and having said doesn’t necessarily mean being understood. Human communication is like a bridge between two or more worlds. When people encounter others, different mind-sets come together. The basis of understanding within communication can be strengthened by meeting people in their respective world of inner meaning and, beyond words, by adopting an attentive and respectful attitude towards their underlying needs. The postulate of systemic communication lies in taking on responsibility for what actually is received by the listener and not simply for what is sent out by the transmitter.

 

Qualities such as self-confidence, a positive basic attitude, enthusiasm and goal-orientation affect the quality of communication greatly. People’s own behaviour is determined to a large extent by the image one has of others. Successful communication requires heightened perception of oneself as well as of others, and should comply with the three perspectives of topic, sender and receiver.

 

Awareness and a competence for the interaction and dynamics of modern communication enables to avoid a destructive attitude of inner contradiction and to benefit from a mature relationship that is conducive for everyone.
